Position Overview: The University of Cambridge invites applications for the role of Assistant Professor in Philosophy of Science and Technology within the Department of History and Philosophy of Science. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities including delivering lectures, conducting supervisions, assessing student work, and fulfilling administrative obligations for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Research and Teaching Responsibilities: The successful candidate will engage in high-level research activities and will be expected to contribute to the academic community through teaching and mentorship. We are particularly keen on applicants with a strong background in the philosophy of the physical sciences, philosophy of technology, or areas that intersect with contemporary societal challenges.

Position Details: This is a permanent position, contingent upon the successful completion of a probationary period. The post-holder will have access to standard promotional pathways within the University’s Academic Career Pathways system, which encompasses both research and teaching tracks.
