About the Role:
The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in improving the supplier base quality performance through second-party audits defined within the Quality Management System (QMS). This position will support the supplier during New Model Development, collaborate with the Design and Development (D&D) team to assist in design and product validation testing, and complete performance reviews and establish action plans with the supplier/commodity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct second-party audits to ensure supplier compliance with QMS requirements
- Support suppliers during New Model Development, including design and product validation testing
- Collaborate with the D&D team to identify and implement quality improvements
- Complete performance reviews and establish action plans with suppliers
- Manage and track supplier quality concerns and warranty claims for effective closure
- Adhere to IATF guidelines and ensure compliance with quality management system
Requirements:
- Demonstrable understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Basic problem-solving skills to identify quality issues, root causes, and implement corrective actions effectively
- Computer literate in MS package
