About This Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer III to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications using Java and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects
  • Develop and maintain software documentation and technical guides
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement automated testing and deployment scripts
  • Work with the team to identify and prioritize technical debt and implement solutions

Requirements

  • Strong experience in software development using Java and other relevant technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
