Strategic Finance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Expert to join our team at South East Water. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's strategic decision-making and financial planning processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support our company's valuation and financial resilience assessments.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to inform our financing and refinancing processes.
- Support the development of budgets, corporate plans, and business plans by producing high-quality financial models and analysis.
- Calculate covenant ratios and assess the impact of various proposals on our financial metrics.
- Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including investors and credit rating agencies.
- Support commercial assessments and provide analysis for special projects as required.
- Populate regulatory data tables and respond to queries from our regulators.
- Reconcile the outputs of various models and sources, and explain/resolve any deviations as required.
- Support the preparation of Board papers and financial forecasts for Group companies.
- Draft investor reports for lenders and shareholders, and respond to investor queries as required.
- Lead the annual GRESB process and responses to other ESG-related investor reporting.
- An accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CFA) is essential.
- Relevant experience in investor relations, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office suite.
