Job Title: Cloud Software Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Software Developer to join our team at Synectics. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our award-winning security and surveillance-centric software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in an Agile team to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure understanding of specifications
  • Develop high-quality software for deployment in cloud-based and closed networks, meeting project and product requirements
  • Develop software in line with software development standards and procedures
  • Communicate new product and continuous improvement ideas/opportunities to the team
  • Participate in unit, system, and acceptance testing by writing tests and supporting the test team
  • Support other departments (Hardware, Marketing, Sales, Support) when required

Requirements:

  • Significant programming experience with C#
  • Strong ASP.Net Core skills, specifically working with Web API
  • Familiarity with RESTful fundamentals and principles
  • Experience with Entity Framework (EF) Core
  • Familiarity with Angular practices and commonly used modules based on work experience
  • Familiarity with DDD (Domain Driven Design) principles and practices
  • Microservices
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services
  • Azure Familiarity with Azure DevOps build and deployment pipelines is a bonus

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical degree (or equivalent industry experience) – graduate or graduate calibre
  • 4 or more years' experience developing applications/solutions – essential
  • Desirable: A track record of community participation in your field of expertise (meet-ups, talks, podcasts, etc.)
