Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Real-time Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at AB Dynamics. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying code for our automotive test equipment.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software into our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, design, and implement software architectures that ensure high performance and real-time capabilities.
  • Develop and implement software standard processes and practices for development and deployment.
  • Ensure software safety and security compliance with industry standards and regulations in collaboration with the Systems Engineering Team.
  • Mentor colleagues in software development best practices and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in software development processes.
Requirements
  • A technical background, preferably an Engineering Degree or similar.
  • Software development industry experience (minimum 2 years) in developing real-time embedded systems.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
  • Experience with embedded systems development tools and platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
