Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Jointer to join our team in Sleaford, GB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the craftsman with the erection and removal of street lighting and highway electrical street furniture, including connections to DNO/IDNO networks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out connections to 3PH DNO/IDNO networks.
  • Assist with the erection and removal of street lighting columns and signs.
  • Excavate joint holes and prepare cables for jointing.
  • Drive general and specialist company vehicles appropriate to the role.
  • Clean, check, and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles associated with the role.
  • Carry out risk assessments on site.
  • Attend call-outs as required.
  • Use the safe operation of tools, equipment, and vehicles associated with the role.
  • Work in a safe manner and in accordance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Comply with operational working practices and associated risk assessments.
  • Take full ownership of personal Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times.
Requirements
  • An academic qualification/NVQ in a related subject.
  • Skills in basic electrical competencies.
  • A high degree of manual dexterity.
  • A current driving license.
  • The ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • The ability to take a confident but diplomatic approach to customers at all times.
Desirable
  • Holding a relevant authorization to work on distribution networks.
  • A current NRSWA qualification.
  • An appropriate G39 qualification. CSCS accreditation via the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS).
  • An understanding of the Highways Lighting business and a general appreciation of the Distribution network.
  • Knowledge of the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
