Job Overview:
Protea Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to support the Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day operations. This role will focus on production planning and stock management to drive efficiency within a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan production for the factory to meet customer demands.
- Manage finished goods stock levels and oversee supply to distribution centers.
- Order raw materials and manage supplier forecasts to ensure timely delivery.
- Track stock movement and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Assist in ad-hoc supply chain tasks, such as stock counts and goods-in.
- Develop relationships with internal teams (production, finance, distribution) to ensure seamless communication.
- Contribute to projects and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, Pivot Tables) to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in planning within an FMCG manufacturing environment to understand production processes.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work autonomously to manage multiple tasks.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels to ensure effective collaboration.
