Job Title: SEN Lecturer

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Lecturer to join our team at Lewisham College on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to SEN students, following the Further Education and Training specification.
  • Plan and coordinate lessons, resources, and support to enable learners to achieve their qualifications.
  • Use the College's online systems to track progress and attendance.
  • Deliver interactive lessons with clear objectives, motivating and inspiring learners using up-to-date teaching methodology.
  • Set and monitor regular, challenging homework in line with student abilities.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, including collecting learner views, lesson observation, and working through action plans.
  • Attend meetings and training days/inset days.
  • Ensure accurate completion of class registers and stay on top of admin work and marking.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in the Further Education and Training sector.
  • Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PCET, PGCE, or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Education).
  • Previous experience working as a SEN Lecturer or Teacher, with a successful record in retention and achievement.
  • Hold GCSEs in both Maths and English, at grade A-C or equivalent.
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Proven experience of consistently good/outstanding teaching.
