Job Description

Job Title: Production Shift Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join our client's team in a leading manufacturer of construction materials. As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading manufacturing operations, ensuring consistent quality, and promoting lean manufacturing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing operations, covering automated and labor-intensive processes, and seek opportunities to automate processes where possible.
  • Offer prompt support in the event of plant breakdowns and ensure consistent quality by monitoring production output.
  • Develop and promote lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, 6 Sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, and OEE, across manufacturing operations.
  • Identify opportunities to further automate manufacturing processes and implement different KPIs across the factory.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior production or manufacturing leadership position, with leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment, with practical implementation of continuous improvement tools and techniques - Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ideal L3 ILM Leadership/Management Qualification.
