Workshop Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at Auto Skills UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our workshop, ensuring that our customers' trailers are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage workshop operations to ensure efficient loading and prioritize repairs to meet customer and business demands.
  • Minimize trailer downtime by identifying cost-effective repair methods and ensuring all inspections, services, and repairs are carried out to a high standard.
  • Manage workshop systems and processes, promoting a safe and efficient working environment and encouraging good workshop practices.
  • Lead a team of technicians and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out repairs to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve workshop efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in workshop management is highly desirable.
  • Must be a qualified technician with a technical background in trailer repairs, or possess equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Experience of managing a team is a distinct advantage.
  • Self-motivated, with a high level of enthusiasm and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Confidence to question and challenge, with an analytical and numerical approach to interpreting data.
  • Computer literate and proficient in administrative tasks.
  • Full and valid driving license.
