Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Walton.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our team in providing high-quality services to vulnerable children and their families. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality supervision and case management oversight.
- Allocate cases within statutory timescales, ensuring assessments, statutory visits, and planned reviews are completed efficiently.
- Develop and review performance development plans for the team, enhancing individual professional development needs and contributing to staff retention.
- Monitor team performance data, ensuring compliance with practice standards and procedures.
- Supervise students on placement and Newly Qualified Social Workers, providing guidance and support.
- Contribute to the management of the staffing budget, approving and committing expenditure within delegated authority.
- Support the safer recruitment and selection of new staff, ensuring staffing levels are maintained.
- Chair strategy, review, planning, professional, and network meetings as appropriate.
- Stay up-to-date with Council policies, government guidance, legislation, research, and national trends, maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Promote work-life balance and flexible working, achieving high-quality service delivery.
- Promote the Council's Fair Access, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy, observing the standard of conduct that prevents discrimination.
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
