  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians, fostering a sense of community and support.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour changes, providing valuable insights for teachers and school administrators.
  • Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support students with additional needs, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach.
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions on behaviour management strategies for staff and parents, promoting a culture of understanding and support.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with ASD, ensuring a tailored and effective learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working with primary school-aged children in a behavioural support role, demonstrating a track record of success and impact.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patient and empathic personality, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
