We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at LTF Recruitment Ltd. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting the emotional well-being of our primary school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other school staff, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians, fostering a sense of community and support.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour changes, providing valuable insights for teachers and school administrators.
- Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support students with additional needs, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach.
- Deliver workshops and training sessions on behaviour management strategies for staff and parents, promoting a culture of understanding and support.
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with ASD, ensuring a tailored and effective learning experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working with primary school-aged children in a behavioural support role, demonstrating a track record of success and impact.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Patient and empathic personality, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
