We are thrilled to announce a pivotal opportunity within our organization for a Technical Security Architect. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our IT operations, project management, and architectural teams to provide expert advice and design security frameworks for various initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading technical security engagement with programs, architects, and IT operations, serving as the subject matter expert for designated projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with solution architects and project teams to create comprehensive guidance and designs (both high-level and detailed) aligned with overall solution architectures.
  • Recommending appropriate security controls that harmonize best practices, information security standards, and business objectives, tailored for a dynamic retail environment.
  • Overseeing the security controls established across projects to support the overarching technology and information security vision, embracing modern operational methodologies.
  • Partnering with other IT and information security leaders to drive optimal solutions for the Currys business, implementing contemporary working methods across on-premise systems and cloud environments.
  • Assisting in the financial assessments of new security components.
  • Making informed decisions regarding the technologies and tools necessary while adhering to established design principles and patterns.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in reviewing, designing, implementing, and maintaining security toolsets within a complex enterprise setting.
  • Proven track record in supporting IT transformation initiatives, transitioning legacy infrastructure to modern cloud environments.
  • In-depth understanding of strategic IT and security solutions applicable to large organizations.
  • Strong grasp of identity access solutions, network security components, and technical security best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of core technical security elements, including WAF, CASB, identity protocols (SAML/OpenID/OAUTH), anti-malware solutions, and SIEM.
  • Proficient understanding of the Microsoft security feature portfolio, particularly within the MS Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Experienced in adapting security controls for hybrid environments, effectively managing on-premise solutions alongside IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • Ability to articulate and justify suitable security controls for business solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Competent in producing written designs and reviewing supplier-generated designs for compliance and effectiveness.
