Position Overview

As a Lead Financial Planning Analyst, you will be an integral part of our Finance Team, collaborating closely with the FP&A Lead and Finance Business Partner, as well as the Accounting Department and CFO, to ensure Plum's financial stability and readiness for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the financial modeling and budgeting processes.
  • Assist the partnership team and broader organization in assessing the financial implications and pricing strategies for potential collaborations, thereby guiding strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the month-end closing activities, including reporting for investors and partners, quarterly board presentations, and the evaluation of key risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, analyzing performance against financial plans.
  • Collaborate with department heads on capacity planning and identifying optimal cost structures across the profit and loss statement.
  • Support the periodic updates of the group's recovery and wind-down strategies.
  • Work alongside the data team to enhance the precision of our forecasting methods.
  • Promote automation throughout all FP&A processes.

Qualifications

  • Possession of an ACA/CIMA/CFA qualification or equivalent, with a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial planning and analysis or commercial finance.
  • A strong analytical background, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, or Data Science.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience in financial modeling, with the ability to create models and processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive and driven, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as Xero, is advantageous.
  • Experience in the fintech sector is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Looker and experience working with data teams is beneficial.
