Job Summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to work as cover supervisors in an outstanding school. As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring the class in the absence of the teacher, managing student behavior, and ensuring all students are engaged with the lesson material.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the classroom in the absence of the teacher and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior and ensure all students are engaged with the lesson material.
  • Take individualized approaches with students to build trust and rapport.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support student learning and achievement.
  • Assign and collect assignments, and maintain organization for when the class teacher returns.
  • Complete the register and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • University degree or A Levels or GCSE (Math and English above C).
  • Previous experience working in a UK school is desired.
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is desired.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training and prevent training issued in the last year.
Eligibility
  • Hold a Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
