Job Title: Property Solicitor

Job Summary:

Noble Recruiting Limited is seeking a highly skilled Property Solicitor to join our team. As a Property Solicitor, you will provide a cost-effective and high-quality legal service to the Council and external clients in relation to property law, commercial, and associated matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a case load of property matters and other legal work undertaken by the District Council, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice relevant to Local Government and the public sector.
  • Undertake research to assist other lawyers in the team to provide advice to the Council.
  • Act as the Council's negotiator on the legal aspects of property transactions.
  • Draft leases, overage agreements, wayleaves, licences, contracts for property disposal/development, and deal with all matters ancillary thereto.
  • Have conduct of matters relating to assets of community value, charitable trusts, and property trust work generally.
  • Attend client liaison meetings and corporate group meetings.
  • Advocate in contested cases in the Magistrates or County Court or representation in property dispute arbitration.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of property law and commercial matters, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
