About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Consultant to join our team at SLR Consulting. As a Process Safety Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on process safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process engineering standards, manuals, and methodologies for clients
  • Audit and review practices and procedures at client sites to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Interface with functional groups to manage process safety risks
  • Conduct on-site surveys of chemical process plant to ensure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessment studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA
  • Provide process engineering expertise in support of engineering and EHS studies, design reviews, and projects
  • Consult on DSEAR-related matters
  • Contribute to clients' sustainability and growth by identifying cost-effective solutions to problems
Requirements
  • A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, with experience in chemical-based manufacturing installations
  • Strong knowledge of relevant UK legislation, including COMAH, DSEAR, and related codes/standards
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to develop good personal relationships with work colleagues and contribute constructively to projects
  • High degree of personal integrity and sound judgment
