Position Summary: The Screening Services Engineer plays a crucial role in the operational, technical, and administrative support of our Screening Room. This position is essential for ensuring seamless DCP and non-DCP screenings, hosting events, and performing routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Screening Room, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Deliver front-of-house and technical assistance to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Schedule and execute regular preventative maintenance to keep the Screening Room prepared, including:
    • Routine room inspections
    • Audio/visual calibration
    • System and hardware updates
    • Coordination of third-party support and maintenance as necessary
    • Maintenance of detailed records of all maintenance activities
  • Manage both physical and digital assets in line with Dolby's content security protocols, including:
    • Asset tracking
    • Inventory audits
    • Handling the receipt and return of client media and assets
  • Assist in record-keeping, analysis, and resource planning utilizing internal tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.

In addition to the primary duties, the role may require ad-hoc support in various areas of Technical Operations, including:

  • Maintenance and operation of additional technical spaces and laboratories
  • Data input/output management
  • KDM creation and distribution
  • Content creation, quality control, and distribution

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production or Post Production within the theatrical environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Digital Cinema, exhibition, and related systems and workflows.
  • Proficient in operating Digital Cinema playback equipment, including Xenon and Laser projectors, DC IMBs, and R&S Clipster.
  • Knowledge of content security best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to perform effectively under pressure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
