Ecologist Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Ecologist to join our team at Pebble Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for undertaking protected species surveys, building tenders, and creating fee quotations. You will also produce technical reports and manage medium to large-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake protected species surveys to ensure compliance with UK wildlife legislation
  • Build tenders and create fee quotations for clients
  • Produce technical reports, including PEA reports, BNG reports, and protected species reports
  • Manage medium to large-sized projects, tracking financial progress and ensuring timely completion
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in ecology or a related field
  • A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 1 protected species licence (preferably)
  • A full UK driving license
  • Extensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and the ability to apply it correctly
  • Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM) membership is preferred
Remuneration:

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £26,000 to £35,000 depending on experience. You will also receive:
