Position Title: Automation Project Lead

Contract Type: 12-month engagement with immediate availability

Work Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel requirements

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Compensation: £38.46 to £43.27 per hour (includes weekly and holiday remuneration)

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation, engineering, or project management within the automation sector. Technical expertise is essential for effectively overseeing multiple vendor operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with three Material Handling Equipment (MHE) vendors to oversee project timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Manage the integration of vendor data with internal tracking and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and the MHE team to establish a comprehensive week-by-week installation plan.
  • Oversee the overall project timeline, identifying and managing dependencies effectively.
  • Ensure all change requests and contingency plans are recognized and resolved promptly.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with vendors, documenting project records and action items accurately.
  • Maintain a precise RAID log to track risks, actions, issues, and decisions.
  • Ensure the project timeline is consistently updated and accurate.
  • Administer the approved MHE budget in collaboration with the finance team, including processing purchase orders.
