Senior Motor Trade Underwriter

Stride Resource Management Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to join our expanding team. This role involves managing both new business and renewals through a selected group of brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively develop and underwrite Motor Trade Risks via a network of brokers, with opportunities for face-to-face underwriting.
  • Enhance the commercial account by fostering and nurturing relationships with regional brokers.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to drive growth targets, focusing on sales optimization and client retention.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Stay informed about the commercial insurance and broking landscape.
  • Offer technical support, manage referrals, and guide colleagues as needed.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in underwriting and trading commercial Motor Trade products.
  • In-depth understanding of the North West broker market.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities.
  • Track record of achieving and surpassing personal and team objectives.
  • Minimum qualification of Cert CII; Dip CII or progress towards it is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated effective trading skills, including new business prospecting and retention strategies.
  • Decisive and confident approach to underwriting.
  • Able to work autonomously while also contributing to team objectives.
