Key Responsibilities- Support Adult Care and Community Wellbeing, Place and Schools Finance directorates
- Provide key corporate and technical finance service to the Council as a whole
The Financial Services team provides the accounting service to the Council, encompassing both management and financial accounting functions, as well as VAT and treasury management services.
- Accounting functions cover both revenue and capital finance
- Include major processes of closure of accounts, systems administration, grant administration and statutory returns
- Professional and organised approach to work
- Good knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Organised approach to work
- Experience of working within public sector finance
- Excellent communication and ICT skills (particularly Excel)
- Relevant accounting qualification (minimum of AAT or equivalent, or above)

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
