Saturday Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Saturday Chef to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing a section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications, ensuring that all food is of the highest quality and presentation.
- Menu Planning and Development: Assist in menu planning and recipe development, working closely with the head chef to create innovative and delicious dishes.
- Team Leadership and Training: Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Compliance and Safety: Comply with all Company and hospital policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
- Experience and Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with at least 2 years' experience working as a chef.
- Communication and Teamwork: Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect, working effectively as part of a team.
- Culinary Skills and Knowledge: Excellent culinary skills and a passion for cooking, with a strong understanding of food preparation and presentation.
- Competitive Compensation: £15.00 per hour, plus Sodexo benefits.
- Flexible Working Hours: 11 hours per week, Saturday 7am - 6:30pm.
