Shift Patterns

We require drivers to be available for various shift patterns, including days, afternoons, and nights. Average shift length is 8-12 hours, but flexibility is essential to accommodate business needs.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid driving license with category C+E (HGV Class 1)
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience
  • Hold a UK Driver DQC (Blue Card) - Drivers CPC
  • Have 35 hours of Driver Professional Competence
  • Have a Digital Tachograph / Smart Chip Card
  • Be able to speak and read English satisfactorily
  • Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on your driver's license
Responsibilities

As an HGV Class 1 driver with Zenith Freight, you will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Completing daily walk-around checks on trucks/trailers
  • Ensuring Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations are fully compliant
  • Keeping in contact with the Transport Manager regarding delays and issues
  • Helping to develop new and better practices for the driver team
