Job Title: Operations Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and sport-minded professional to join our team as an Operations Assistant at the University of Exeter Sports Office.

Job Summary:

This role will be based at St Luke's Sports Centre and Cornwall House Swimming Pool (seasonally), but with an expectation to work at the Sports Park (Streatham Campus) when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient, safe operation of the three sites and for delivering high standards of service across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the sports facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for users.
  • Supervise the gyms and maintain cleanliness of all facilities, including lifeguarding duties where qualified.
  • Set up and take down equipment, and ensure all facilities are well-maintained and ready for use.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach, an eye for detail, and a team-minded attitude. Experience of working in a similar environment and dealing with a varied cross-section of customers is desirable, as is an awareness of health and safety issues.
