Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician
**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team at Pybus Recruitment. As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach
* Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required
* Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them
* Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification
* Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others
* Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified
* Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor
* Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements
* Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video in a timely manner (or equivalent)
* Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use of special and personal tools
**Requirements**
* The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
* The capability of working to the highest quality standards
* Great communication skills
* Maintain high standards of house-keeping
* Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
* A full UK driving license
* Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential
* VOSA approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
* Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
