About The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Morson Talent. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, working closely with our clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage tender pricing and risk assessments to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  2. Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  3. Conduct cost and value reconciliations, providing insightful analysis to inform business decisions.
  4. Prepare and present financial reports, including bottom-up and end-life cost reporting.
  5. Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to subcontractors.


As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing commercial input to project strategy, and contributing to project performance discussions. You will also be responsible for subcontract account management, dispute resolution, and data reporting and record keeping.

Requirements:

  1. Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or similar qualification.
  2. Have previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor position.
  3. Have working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  4. Have experience working in a civils contractor environment.
  5. Have a strong understanding of cost and time management.
  6. Be an enthusiastic and effective communicator, able to liaise with a wide range of people and teams.
