Deputy Nursery Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our award-winning nursery in the Bristol area. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery and delivering high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in their absence, ensuring consistent and high-quality care and education across all age groups.
  • Manage the nursery team, ensuring the correct staff-to-child ratios are met at all times and overseeing the weekly staff rota.
  • Support the delivery of a creative and engaging early years curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child.
  • Promote positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child's progress.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure a strong and dedicated team.
  • Ensure the nursery meets health, safety, and safeguarding standards, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to policies.
Requirements:
  • Previous leadership or team management experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of nursery administration, including staffing and rota management.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and early childhood education standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
