Job Title: Procurement Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

Croydon Council is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that support the delivery of an efficient and effective Procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Develop and maintain the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system and management reporting to support legislative requirements.
  • Produce reports on procurement, purchasing, and contract management performance across the council at various levels.
  • Support the maintenance of procurement documents, templates, and guidance to ensure they remain current.
  • Measure contract manager performance against agreed standards and manage a contract manager network to share best practices.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Experience in change management and project management within a system development and implementation context.
  • Public sector procurement experience.
