Team Manager

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Children Looked After Team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of social workers, providing guidance, support, and challenge to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Caseload Management: Oversee the distribution of caseloads to ensure that the needs of children and families are met appropriately.
- Decision Making: Make clear decisions around threshold for cases, ensuring that risk is evaluated and decisions are recorded on the case file.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out regular quality assurance activities, including observations, case reviews, and team audits, to support professional development and improve consistency of practice.
- Performance Management: Use performance information and audit outcomes to efficiently manage the team, translating this information in a meaningful way to ensure that all team members understand their role and responsibilities.
- Team Planning: Create, implement, and monitor a team plan that links to service and strategic objectives, with the overall aim of improving performance.
- Supervision: Directly supervise Assistant Team Managers and Senior Social Workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Professional Development: Assist and encourage the professional development of Assistant Team Managers, providing opportunities for growth and development.
- Equality and Diversity: Ensure that all interventions are conducted within an anti-discriminatory framework, taking into account issues such as race, gender, and sexuality, and delivering appropriate services to diverse communities.
- Deputy Head of Service: Deputise for the Head of Service, undertake projects, and other additional duties as required.
