Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The University of Cambridge Estates Division is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join their busy Maintenance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that building services are maintained to a high standard of safety and comply with current regulations. They will also support a supervisor with day-to-day maintenance duties and provide assistance and direction to a small team of electricians.

The ideal candidate will have a wide knowledge of mechanical and electrical services, including lighting, power and distribution systems, mechanical plant controls and Building Management Systems. They will also have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, as well as a flexible approach to work.

The University offers a competitive salary, generous annual leave allowance, and a range of benefits including an auto-enrolment pension scheme and travel benefits.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least Level 4/HNC standard or equivalent and hold an industry-recognised qualification in electrical installation and inspection and testing.

They will also have experience in a similar role and a sound working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations.
