The Commercial Financial Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the financial stability of the organization, guiding strategic decisions through comprehensive financial analysis. You will be instrumental in influencing the financial trajectory of the business while ensuring operational and fiscal effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Create and sustain financial models to aid in business planning and decision-making.
- Perform variance analysis to identify performance drivers and deliver actionable insights.
- Business Collaboration:
- Engage with department leaders and senior management to enhance financial performance.
- Offer financial guidance and support to various business divisions, including marketing, sales, and operations.
- Work alongside the sales team to evaluate customer profitability and product margins.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Financial Oversight & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal financial protocols.
- Supervise the preparation of financial statements and coordinate audits.
- Strategic Projects:
- Assist in M&A activities, including due diligence and integration efforts.
- Support financial initiatives aimed at cost reduction and process enhancements.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with business operations.
The ideal candidate:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
- Possesses 3-5 years of experience in financial management, ideally within the retail sector.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Is proficient in financial software and possesses advanced Excel skills.
- Displays meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Can thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
