Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Private Client team at Forvis Mazars for the South Coast, ensuring the delivery of exceptional private client tax guidance and compliance services.
- Assist in strategic planning, budget formulation, and performance tracking.
- Foster and sustain robust relationships with both current and prospective clients, delivering outstanding service and identifying further support opportunities.
- Collaborate with other service lines within the Poole office to effectively target and engage high net worth individuals and substantial Privately Owned Businesses.
- Engage in business development initiatives, including participation in local events, client presentations, thought leadership writing, and identifying growth opportunities for the Private Client team.
- Establish connections with intermediaries and a referral network to attract new clients.
- Assess and manage tax risks within the private client portfolio, adhering to quality and risk management protocols across the South Coast.
- Provide support to the national private client tax teams regarding complex issues that arise.
- Stay informed on tax legislation changes and communicate their implications to clients and colleagues as necessary.
- Champion learning and development within the Poole tax team through mentoring, training, and effective delegation.
- Ensure compliance with both internal (tax methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as CTA or equivalent.
- A proven track record of cultivating internal and external relationships and networks.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence others.
- Demonstrated comprehensive technical tax knowledge and expertise.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Creative thinking ability, with a knack for generating innovative ideas and developing new methodologies.
- Experience in managing client financials and adapting advisory approaches based on budget considerations.
- Proficiency in identifying business development opportunities for tax clients and across various service lines.
- Familiarity with personal tax on CCH Central is advantageous.
