About the Role
The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gastrointestinal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancer.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of gastroenterology and improve patient care.
Requirements
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification.
- Full GMC or GDC registration.
- Royal College Membership.
- Consultant, SAS Doctor, or General Practitioner.
- On the GMC Specialist Register.
