Senior Adaptation Surveyor – Access Consultant – Adaptation Building Works

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Adaptation Surveyor to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will be responsible for coordinating essential modifications to properties to meet the needs of residents with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage referrals for the provision of aids and adaptations for tenants with disabilities, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
  2. Collaborate with occupational therapists to assess properties for adaptation viability, providing expert advice on suitability and feasibility.
  3. Develop detailed specifications for minor and small-scale major adaptations, including wet rooms, ramp access, and accessible kitchens.
  4. Oversee adaptation works from start to finish, ensuring compliance with requirements and sign off on completed projects.
  5. Liaise with stakeholders, including architects, contractors, occupational therapists, and tenants, to ensure smooth delivery of extension works and other modifications.
  6. Manage the Aids and Adaptations budget, ensuring effective use of resources and accuracy in contractor payments.
  7. Monitor and manage contractor performance to ensure high standards of quality, health and safety, and compliance with specifications.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in property management, construction, or related fields.
  2. Knowledge of disability access requirements and building adaptations.
  3. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various professionals.
  5. Financial acumen to manage budgets, review invoices, and challenge errors.
  6. A proactive and solution-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
