About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at Strictly Education Ltd. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality strategic internal audit/scrutiny support to our client schools and academy trusts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide essential services to our client schools and MATs, offering high-quality strategic internal audit/scrutiny support
  • Conduct audits in areas such as financial, health and safety, safeguarding, and other areas where schools must uphold the highest standards and adhere to regulatory responsibilities
  • Take the operational lead and appropriate level of delivery on the Internal Scrutiny portfolio in conjunction with the Audit Manager
  • Work with and support CEOs, CFOs, head teachers, school business managers, and governors in Schools to raise awareness of processes and procedures required and further develop and strengthen relevant school and or MAT processes and systems
Requirements
  • Qualified or newly qualified accountant through a recognised professional body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA) with an external/internal audit background or similar relevant experience
  • Proven operational experience working within schools/MATs/colleges and a background in financial or internal auditing
  • Driving licence is essential and this post will be subject to an enhanced DBS
