National Locums is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Consultant with a specialization in Neuroradiology to join their team on a permanent or fixed-term basis.

The Radiology Department at this esteemed NHS trust in the North Midlands is a dynamic and busy unit, comprising 7 Neuroradiologists and 48 WTE radiology Consultants. They deliver emergency and non-acute services, and are a level 1 Trauma Centre, supporting the acute stroke mechanical thrombectomy service 24/7.

The ideal candidate will be involved in advanced imaging for trauma, oncology, stroke, spine, dementia, ENT, and Max Fax services. They will also support a network of regional services and collaborate with clinical scientists to perform and improve specialist MRI for brain tumour, stroke, etc.

Key Equipment and Facilities:

  • 8 CT scanners
  • 7 MR scanners (3 3T scanners, one 3T dedicated to neuro imaging)
  • 1 biplane Fluro intervention suite for neuro intervention
  • 2 single-plane Fluro suites for vascular interventions
  • 25 ultrasound rooms

Requirements:

  • Specialist registration in Radiology is essential for a permanent position
  • Experience in Head and Neck Radiology is highly desirable
