Material Handling Specialist (Dismantling)

Are you adept at managing the movement of vehicles and components within a facility? We are seeking individuals who can effectively oversee the transportation of materials and equipment.

Our Material Handling Specialists are tasked with the relocation of vehicles and components on and off storage racks and transporters, both within and between facilities, as well as the transportation of any additional parts, materials, or equipment as instructed.

Key Responsibilities:

Relocate vehicles on and off the racks for other team members as needed, utilizing stands when necessary. Transport vehicles, components, materials, racks, or equipment between the storage area and other designated locations as requested. Ensure a continuous supply of vehicles for de-pollution, dismantling, or other operations as required, returning them to the appropriate storage area once tasks are completed. Assist with the stock rotation system, executing necessary vehicle movements on racks to accommodate new arrivals or to fill gaps. Participate in periodic stock checks of all vehicles on storage racks. Identify and load vehicles onto transporters for distribution, unload vehicles from transporters, and store them in the correct locations. Occasionally dismantle components as required. Support the fulfillment of export orders as necessary. Ensure that all documentation and electronic records are completed accurately and punctually. Provide coverage for other relevant duties as needed.

What You Bring:

Candidates must possess a valid driving license. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to accurately document vehicle damage in our system clearly and concisely. Experience operating a forklift is advantageous but not mandatory (onsite forklift training with a reputable provider will be sponsored by the company). Capability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Keen attention to detail. Basic IT proficiency. Previous experience in a salvage environment and knowledge or interest in motor vehicles is desirable but not essential.
