Job Summary

The Production Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the production planning department. As the primary point of contact for Production Planning issues, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs. This role requires strong communication skills, with the ability to represent the production planning department at internal and external meetings, as well as working closely with Technical Engineers to drive deliverable plans to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out day-to-day Production Planning duties, including building robust production plans for maintenance inputs, creating work packages in AMOS, and inputting technical data.
  2. Perform thorough reviews of work packages to ensure all necessary consumables, expendables, and tooling are identified and readily available for planned maintenance inputs.
  3. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for Production Planning at all times.
  4. Develop accurate Man Hour and Hangar Bay plans for review by Management and/or QA.
  5. Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
  6. Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
  7. Collaborate with the Lead Production Planning Engineer to create cross-team dynamics and ensure all processes and procedures are monitored and updated.
  8. Monitor compliance through sampling.
  9. Participate in or host required pre-input meetings.
  10. Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.

Requirements

  1. Ability to work independently, yet be a team player who exceeds expectations of internal and external customers.
  2. Previous experience using the AMOS system.
  3. Previous experience on widebody and/or ETOPS aircraft is an advantage.
  4. Aircraft Engineering Degree preferable.
  5. At least 5 years' experience working in a maintenance planning environment.
  6. Excellent organization skills and ability to work under pressure.
  7. Right to live and work in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
