We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ibstock PLC. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a culture of excellence in health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities, including inspections, service, and repairs.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery, including installation of new plant, design, and fabrication of parts/structures.
- Apply continuous improvement tools and techniques to optimize performance across all areas of the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize factory performance and achieve business objectives.
- Time-served or advanced apprenticeship in engineering maintenance (mechanical), engineering manufacture (mechanical), or mechatronics (mechanical).
- Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
- Knowledge of welding and basic fabrication.
- Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Good knowledge of current health and safety law and best practice application within a manufacturing environment.
