About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative individual to manage and oversee the Council's Commercial Waste service. As a key member of our Waste and Recycling Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Bolton's businesses have access to a Council-operated recycling and waste collection service that is efficient, effective, and aligned with the Bolton 2030 Vision and National Waste strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and distribute promotional campaigns and materials to promote the benefits of the Council's commercial waste service.
  • Provide quotations to potential customers and proactively manage customer relationships to retain existing customers and expand the commercial waste service across the borough.
  • Supervise an operational team and monitor compliance with statutory regulations and contract terms and conditions, addressing non-compliance where necessary.
  • Manage all aspects of income and expenditure and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Support the wider team in ensuring Health and Safety underpins all operational activities.
