About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Director to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our financial reporting strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Trust Board and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to support business decision-making.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial planning and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial reporting regulations and standards and ensure our reporting practices are aligned with best practice.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in financial reporting, preferably in a healthcare or public sector organization.
  • Expert knowledge of financial reporting regulations and standards, including IFRS and NHS financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
