Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

MCS Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Magherafelt. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products, improving existing products, and ensuring all designs meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop new products from concept to production, ensuring customer requirements and industry standards are met.
  2. Create detailed 3D models and CAD drawings using software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD or similar.
  3. Select appropriate materials for products and components.
  4. Develop and test prototypes to evaluate design concepts.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
  6. Prepare detailed documentation.
Requirements:
  1. Educated to Degree level in Mechanical Design Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or relevant.
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience in product design.
  3. Proficient in 3D modelling and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  4. Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
