About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team at Morrisons. As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our site, delivering high-quality products to our customers, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of all colleagues, identifying and mitigating risks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive performance improvement, maximizing profits and achieving business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Team Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of manufacturing operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to drive the Continuous Improvement Strategy, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-risk sector.
  • Leadership Skills: A track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team in a people management role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Decision-Making: Assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Cost Management: An understanding of cost models and experience of budgetary control and cost management.
