Electrical Operations Engineer - Facilities Management - Critical Infrastructure - Up to £44,000

We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Operations Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical background coupled with extensive experience in building maintenance. This role involves working within a critical infrastructure environment, ensuring the smooth operation of essential systems.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 to 17:00
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive maintenance on all client assets using the Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Maintain accurate records related to Health & Safety, Building Compliance, and Quality Assurance.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements, including the administration of work approvals and safe operations.
  • Quickly address and rectify plant faults and defects to keep systems operational.
  • Ensure availability of necessary spare parts for maintenance tasks.
  • Complete detailed maintenance records in the form of job sheets.
  • Prepare, review, and implement Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
  • Lead and manage the shift team effectively.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently, utilizing the shift engineers appropriately.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for shift engineers.
  • Ensure the shift team is adequately skilled and trained, with appropriate training plans developed and executed.

Candidate Requirements
  • Electrically qualified
  • City & Guilds - Level 3 Certification
  • City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition Certification
  • HV / LV experience is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in Building Maintenance
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Multi-skilled in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
  • Knowledge of UPS, Generators, Power Distribution, HVAC, and HV LV systems
  • Proven Leadership and Management abilities
