We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environment Artist to join our team at Stellar Entertainment. As a key member of our Art team, you will be responsible for creating AAA quality environments, terrain, and hard surfaces that bring our games to life.
Working closely with our Lead Artist and Art Director, you will develop and refine new processes, and contribute to the vision and direction of our Art team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create visually stunning environments and terrains that enhance gameplay and immerse players in our worlds.
- Collaborate with our Art, Design, and Production teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
- Identify dependencies and risks, and proactively address them with the Production team and Art Leads.
- Regularly review and discuss progress with the Art team to ensure high-quality results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our processes and deliver exceptional results.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a senior artist supporting a lead within a team and guiding other artists.
- Knowledge of multiple art and animation pipelines, including industry-standard tools such as SpeedTree, Zbrush, Blender/3DS Max/Maya, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter, World Machine, and Gaea.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience creating high-quality, optimized foliage assets for AAA console games, as well as believable and natural hard surfaces.
- Excellent knowledge of creating PBR correct textures and materials, and a passion for world-building and asset creation.
- Bachelor's degree in art, design, technical discipline, or other relevant training.
- Shipped AAA game on PC.
