Senior Transport Planner

Michael Page (UK) is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner to join their team in a flexible working arrangement.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for producing a daily transport plan that is practical and achievable, ensuring minimal cost and maximum profitability. They will also be responsible for planning to ensure that customer service criteria are always met, assigning drivers as appropriate to meet collection/delivery schedules, and liaising closely with the Warehouse and Transport teams to achieve the most effective plan.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Director
- Producing a daily transport plan that is practical and achievable
- Planning to ensure that customer service criteria are always met
- Assigning drivers as appropriate to meet collection/delivery schedules
- Liaising closely with the Warehouse and Transport teams
- Experience in Transport Planning or Administration
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach
- Working knowledge of a Transport Planning System would be advantageous
- Salary: £55,000
- Holidays: 20 + 8
- Government Pension
