Job Summary:The successful candidate will have extensive experience in paediatric nursing, with a strong focus on sedation and anaesthesia. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and implementing treatment strategies. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
- Administer sedation and anaesthesia as required
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices
- NMC Registered Nurse (Child) or HCPC registered ODP
- Relevant Honours degree and willingness to undertake or be undertaking an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice
- Attendance on a clinical leadership programme
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relating to clinical speciality
- Basic Life Support
- APLS/EPLS
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or willing to undertake
The Nurse-led Sedation Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including radiologists, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals. You will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Salary and Contract Details:£44,806 to £53,134 a year per annum inclusive
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time
