Job Opportunity for Experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods locally and regionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods, adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Vehicle Checks: Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Delivery Documentation: Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the transport team and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to driving regulations and company policies, maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety.
Requirements:
  • Valid HGV Class 1 License: Possess a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card: Hold a current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with a strong understanding of UK driving laws and road networks.
  • Communication and Time Management: Possess strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pertemps Scotland offers a competitive hourly rate of £17-£18 per hour, with ongoing work and guaranteed hours. We also provide modern, state-of-the-art vehicles and a £25 per night allowance for tramping when required.
